Mr. Sampat Ghimire is Senior Divisional Engineer at the Tourism and Civil Aviation of Ministry of Culture, Nepal. Currently, he is associated with Department of Archeology. He started his profession working in the field of agriculture and irrigation. He served the Nepal Government for over three decades. He completed Bachelor and Master degree in Civil Engineering from Polotsk State University, Belarus, the former USSR. Mr. Ghimire has expertise in construction and conservation of buildings and monuments. He is a Life Member of Nepal Engineer’s Association and a Member of Nepal Engineering Council. He served the Department of Urban Development and Building construction for 25 years. He is the recipient of Civil Servant Award. He has actively participated in the reconstruction projects of monuments and buildings after the devastating earthquakes of April-May 2015. In this connection, he visited Gujarat and Sikkim of India and also China. He has visited about a dozen countries to attend seminars, conferences, and trainings. Mr. Ghimire strongly believes in Ayurveda. He is also a social worker. He has made financial contribution through scholarships to students and to ‘Ghimire Samaj’. He is a member of Lions’ club. He is the Life Member as well as Executive Committee Member of Yogic Samaj Nepal.
