Dr. Dinesh Raj Shiwakoti possesses Doctor of Engineering from Yokohama National University Japan, Master of Laws in Construction Law, Arbitration, and Adjudication from Robert Gordon University UK, Master of Geotechnical Engineering from AIT Bangkok Thailand, and Undergraduate in Civil Engineering with ‘First-Class-First Distinction’ from National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur India. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrator (CIArb). He has over 25 years of extensive professional experience in internationally-procured infrastructure development projects, including their formulation, design, procurement, and implementation in the internationally renowned consulting companies in Japan, Singapore, and Vietnam. He is empanelled as Arbitrator and Adjudicator at Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration. He has published dozens of research articles in international journals and conferences. Dr. Shiwakoti was conferred the Felicitation Letter by the Government of Nepal in 2011 in recognition of long term contribution to the society and the nation in the field of Engineering. He was awarded the medals by Nepal’s head of the state for attaining high academic achievements: ‘Mahendra Vidya Bhusan Padak-A’ (1999), and ‘Mahendra Vidya Bhusan Padak-C’ (1992). He was conferred merit award by the Department of Transport of Ho Chi Minh City Government of Vietnam in 2009 for excellent achievement in the works contributing to the completion of Saigon East-West Highway Project. He was awarded merit-based scholarships for Ph. D. in Engineering by the Government of Japan (Monbusho), ME by the Government of Austria, and BE by the Government of India (Colombo Plan).
