Sanjay Dev is currently a Professor of Mathematics at Chico State University, California and Butte College, Chico. A talented mathematician, he has been awarded five times with ‘Best Professor Award’. Professor Dev is not only popular among his students but also well-known among the locals in 100 miles radius of Chico as a very popular Radio Journalist. Over the past two decades, he has been hosting a weekly programme at KZFR community radio, where he plays Reggae music from his rarest and homogenous collection of tracks, lying in number of shelves in the basement of his chico home. He plans to showcase his painstaking and valuable collection into the University Library, later. He also occasionally appears at few selected functions and Nepalese gatherings. A frequent traveler, Dev, at fifty-two, has so far travelled to forty-nine countries, and aims to tally the numbers to his age. He generously contributes for social and humanitarian causes, be it in providing scholarships to children, raising funds during disasters, or in logistically supporting schools and organizations. He reaches out to young people, helps them, and inspires them to lead the path of success. However, he is very humble about his contributions and good deeds and rarely mentions them.
